Anti-psychiatry

From The Maze Where Realities Converge

Jump to: navigation, search

The logic of psychiatry is naming and blaming: give a diagnosis and match it to the drug: anti-depressants for depression, mood stabilizers for bipolar. This works well for infectious diseases. But people with the same psychiatric diagnosis do not necessarily have the same underlying problem. Therefore, they should not get the same treatment. Diagnosis therefore tells you nothing about what is actually wrong with you.
