Concepts

Wujud = Being, truth, sat

Wahdat al-wujud = Oneness of being, monism

'adim = non-existence, mu, wuji

God thinks all things from 'adim into wujud.

Five ranks of existence:

• Wujud dhati: essential existence. Belongs only to God.
• Wujud al-hissi: sensible existence, belongs to physical and astral things
• Wujud al-khayali: imaginary existence
• Wujud al-'aqli: existence on the plane of representation
• Wujud al-shabahi: existence as a property of the existence of something else. (Your hair's purpleness exists dependent on your hair itself existing.)

Ihsan (احسان) : perfection and goodness in action
Iman: faith? David Bowie's wife.
Islam: surrender
Ihsan + iman + islam

Noor = Polynesian aka

Maqaam = grade

Haal = trance

Wajad = ecstasy

Murshid (مرشد) = guru
Murid (مريد) = chela

Zawk = direct gnosis

Fanaa (فناء) = ego death, becoming Nemo

Dthikr = mindfulness of God

Nasma = astral body

Lataif-as-Sitta = the six subtleties, chakras. To undergo purification (Tazkiya) in the following order to attain perfection -

• Nafs - Located at dan-tien. Source of greed, self-centredness. 7 stages of purification
• Qalb (قلب) - located at left of chest. Yellow.
• Ruh
• Sirr
• Khafi
• Akhfa.

Four stations:

• Sharia = right action
• Tariqah = mystic practises
• Haqiqa = kensho
• Marifa (المعرفة) =
