The analysis of what exactly happens when people make comments is central to our understanding of the universe. We see comments as being much more than empty words. They are endowed with certain powers, such as:
- The ability to take power away from things depending on subterfuge, such as guilt trips, boasting
- The ability to create consciousness by means of self-referentiality (see The Reality Fish)
- The ability to dissipate conflict. For example, if somebody tries to start a fight, a good way to calm things down is to ask them what they're doing, why they're doing it etc.
