Meta-program

To meta-program is to consciously and deliberately alter yourself. (Compare this to the definition of magick.) Something following a script without question is programmed; something that dictates its own actions is meta-programming. The day that robots and computers start to meta-program themselves is the day they start to surpass us. John Lilly used the phrase a lot in reference to his research in altering the human mind, both conscious and subconscious.
