Mescaline
From The Maze Where Realities Converge - the psychedelic encyclopedia of reality from The Ultimate Comment
Mescaline is 3,4,5-trimethoxy phenethylamine. It is found in cacti like peyote (lophophora williamsii), san pedro (trichocereus pachanoi) and Peruvian torch (tricocereus peruvianus). Along with LSD, it has the reputation of producing a particularly rich, complete psychedelic trip involving all the senses, and innumerate layers of consciousness. It also tends to be happier and less scary than LSD. A typical dose is 200-400mg.
Mescaline in its pure or extracted form is illegal worldwide. However, peyote is legal just about everywhere except the USA and other mescaline-containing cacti (such as San Pedro and Peruvian Torch) are legal just about everywhere except California.
