Disappearing Lighter incident

This occured outside the science building on UCD's Belfield campus. One adherent needed a lighter and asked another for one. The lighter was extracted from a pocket and proffered. There was a fumble, a pop and a flash and the lighter was no more, vanished completely without trace, presumably into some kind of interdimensional vortex

Critics point to the fact that all witnesses and participants were on mushrooms at the time. But that doesn't mean it didn't happen, now, does it?
