This is a large Transfunctioner-type object had been built on a traffic island on the Newtownpark Avenue part of Whites Cross. It is a part of continuing roadworks on the top of the Avenue, including a new bus shelter for the 114 (the bus linking the crossroads with Sandyford Industrial Estate and the LUAS). One of the temporary barriers bore a LUAS logo, indicating a connection between the crossroads transfunctioner and the forces that built the LUAS.
