Cliff Pickover is some kind of psychedelic genius. He says a lot of mind-blowing shit, for example that since pi is an infinite, random sequence of numbers, the code to our souls, to reality, to consciousness, and to all existence must be contained somewhere within its numbers. Fucking hell.
He has an excellent blog - Reality Carnival - on which he often posts six impossible things before breakfast. In addition, he has written books about such topics as mathematics, God, reality, astronomy, the future and time travel. He has a pretty good beard.
